I love teaching because I get to work with kids, laugh and learn every day, inspire growth, and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

I became a teacher because I wanted my work to truly matter. After working in hospitality, I realized my passion was helping people grow and feel valued. Working with children brings joy and purpose to my life, as I get to encourage confidence, curiosity, and kindness every day. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful difference while doing work I genuinely love.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments came during our PTO fundraiser when I offered myself as a “Pie a Teacher” raffle prize. Seeing several of my students use all their tickets for the chance to pie me was both hilarious and deeply meaningful. It showed the strong relationships we had built and reminded me that connection, trust, and joy are at the heart of learning and what makes teaching so special.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were fortunate enough to receive the $25,000, I would first celebrate with a small party for my students, making sure I get to share some of the moment with them. I would make sure to put some in each of my children’s college funds. The rest would go toward helping my family begin building our forever home.
