I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in kids’ lives. Sometimes students need someone besides their parents who truly cares about them and reminds them that they are capable of succeeding. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was teaching a student with dyscalculia who struggled greatly with math. Over the year, I worked to make math engaging and build her confidence. She began to enjoy the activities and worked hard. By the end of the year, she scored high on the state test. Now she and her mother visit each year to thank me. She says her success started in my class because I believed in her.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I would invest it in my classroom to provide essential supplies like notebooks, and pencils, so every student has what they need to succeed. I would also love to further my education in teaching and go back to school to continue growing as an educator.
