I became a teacher because school was difficult for me growing up. As a child with ADD, learning to read was a challenge, and I wanted to help students who struggle like I once did. My grandmother, a fourth-grade teacher, inspired me with her patience and support as she helped me with homework. She showed me how powerful a caring teacher can be.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the funding to expand hands-on science experiences for students at my school. I would purchase lab materials, interactive science tools, and resources that allow students to explore real-world investigations. I would also enhance our classroom environment with more opportunities to observe living organisms so students can experience science in meaningful and memorable ways.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
