I became a teacher to inspire young minds to fall in love with science, just as I did when I was younger. Science is not just fun and innovative; it is a gateway to discovery and making a difference. I strive to help my students see themselves as current and future scientists, capable of creating meaningful change in their communities and beyond. My goal is to ignite curiosity, foster confidence, and show them how impactful their contributions to the world can be.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moments are when students grasp challenging concepts & realize they are scientists, capable of meaningful & impactful contributions. Watching them confidently embrace their potential is incredibly rewarding. I also cherish seeing my students successfully use cooperative learning strategies, working together to solve problems & achieve a shared outcome. These moments highlight their growth, teamwork, & the realization that science is a collaborative journey of discovery

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I win the $25,000, I will use it to help my family achieve a lifelong dream of purchasing our first home. This opportunity would provide stability and a foundation for us to continue growing, both personally and professionally.
