I was originally a correctional officer. But one night I saw a young man coming to jail who looked frightened. That was the day. I said I wanna try to keep young men like him from places like this.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI can’t think of one specific example. Overall, I would say sharing stuff with my mom who was also a teacher. We used to share ideas on using technology in the classroom, techniques with handling behavior, curriculum and instructions. She was the best. Now that she’s gone I have a greater appreciation for those long conversations we used to have.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off some debt and help My wife start her ministry. $1,125 would go to St. Jude children’s hospital. And another $1,125 would go to my school’s stem program.
