Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because working with kids is something that always came naturally to me. It was the only job I could see myself doing for the rest of my life and never getting bored.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was sitting at a fifth grade graduation and hearing my name mentioned. An eighth grader who graduated from my school came to speak and still spoke highly of my class, more than 3 years after attending. Something I’ll never forget.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I recently bought a house using lots of teacher loans. First thing I would do is pay off those loans and maybe get my classroom a new pencil sharpener 😂
