I became a teacher because I’m passionate about kids. Both sides of my family have a history in education so my dad says it’s just in my blood. I love supporting students and helping them realize they can persevere. I continue to move up the ladder as part time vice principal because I want to make the school better for all students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI got to teach the same class for multiple years. When I taught 4th grade, I had a Harry Potter themed classroom which the students loved. During novel study after we finished a book, we would usually have a party to celebrate our hard work with themed snacks and comparing & contrasting to the movie if there was one.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would donate some of it to my school I work at. I would also save it as it is hard to buy a house on a private teacher salary.
