Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference and to help show kids the potential they carry within themselves. I want to teach kids that anything is possible through hard work and persistence. I want them to know that I will be on their side, rooting for them and helping them to achieve their goals.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I am a gym teacher. My most fun and memorable teaching experience is when I taught my classes how to do their own bowling score. Nowadays, society uses technology to make many things more simple. Yet I wanted my students to have the knowledge of how to add their own score in bowling. It was fun to see how they quickly wanted to roll the ball to see what score they would get per frame to add up their points.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would visit a ballpark. My bucket list is to visit all 31 ballparks. I have visited 6 to date. Next I would pay off what I could of my college loan debt and finally I would start a scholarship fund for a district student going to school to become a PE teacher.
