Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe learning has the power to change lives. As a passionate “life learner”, I love sharing the excitement of discovering new things and helping kids see their potential. Teaching isn’t just about lessons, it’s about building confidence, encouraging growth, and making a difference. Watching students light up when they learn new things, reminds me why I chose this path every day.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moments happen during what I call “Story Time.” Each day, I share real-life situations with my students to teach them about manners, morals, principles, and values they can carry through life. They’re always so interested and engaged, eager to learn how to solve problems they might face in the future. Watching them reflect, discuss, and grow during these moments reminds me why I love teaching, it’s about preparing them for life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I win the prize, I would create more resources like books and programs to teach life skills, values, and problem-solving in fun, engaging ways for students and families. I would also enhance my classroom with tools to make learning meaningful and invest in professional growth to expand my impact. This prize would help me inspire and leave a legacy for more learners and continue making a difference as a teacher and self publishing author.
