I’ve known since I was 12 years old that I wanted to be a band director. Music was where I found my calling and where I found my closest friends. I knew that I wanted to devote my life to providing that outlet for others.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceGetting to see my students grow from shy beginner musicians into confident leaders in the band will always stick with me. Hearing their progress as individual musicians over the years literally brings tears to my eyes.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would take my husband on a vacation somewhere tropical as a thank you for dealing with how many hours I work (60-80 per week), and then do something responsible like pay some bills and put the rest in savings.
