I became a teacher to be a light for my students, just as my teachers were for me. Education has the power to transform lives, break barriers, and shape the future, so every day, I step into the classroom with a mission—to inspire, empower, and uplift. I want my students to see their worth, embrace their potential, and chase their dreams without limits. Teaching is my way of shaping future leaders, igniting change, and leaving a lasting impact on the world, one student at a time.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments was witnessing the growth of one of my EL students. Initially, he only spoke Spanish, hesitated to engage, and feared making mistakes. Through patience, encouragement, and a supportive environment, he found his voice. Over time, his confidence blossomed—he participated in class discussions and, ultimately, wrote his first essay in English. It was a powerful reminder that teaching is about breaking barriers, unlocking potential, and helping students succeed.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in resources to enhance literacy, leadership, and opportunities for my students. I’d fund educational programs, provide books, and create a scholarship for students pursuing careers in education. My goal is to empower students with the tools they need to succeed and inspire them to believe in their limitless potential.
