Tell us why you became a teacher

Twelve years ago, I craved a career with purpose. Teaching resonated. My own amazing teachers, who inspired me. She made learning an adventure. Watching my Pre-K students blossom, guiding second graders through "aha!" moments – it's incredibly rewarding. The journey hasn't been easy. There's frustration, exhaustion, and self-doubt. But the connections I build with students, the opportunity to make a difference, and the privilege of witnessing their growth outweigh the challenges.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was teaching my first Pre-K 3 class as their second-grade teacher. It was a full-circle moment. I'd watched these little ones take their first steps, learn to read, and blossom into curious learners. Later on , I had the privilege of guiding them through more complex concepts. Seeing their faces light up as they tackled new challenges was incredibly rewarding. It was a testament to the power of nurturing young minds and the lasting impact of early education.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I'd prioritize giving back to the community. A significant portion would go to a local educational non-profit that supports students with academics, creativity, and beyond.With the remaining funds, I'd invest in my future. A substantial amount would go towards completing my doctorate degree, a lifelong goal that will open new doors for my career. Finally, I'd use a portion to celebrate with a dream wedding, marking a new chapter in my life.
