As a Biology major, I always loved science, as a mom, I love teaching and sharing about science. It is so rewarding to see the ‘lightbulb’ when kids get it!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience is when I was given the opportunity to travel to the Galápagos Islands with a group of high school students. Being able to teach and share my love of evolution hands on was amazing, and seeing the awe in kids eyes for the nature they got to see.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to use the funds to equipt our school with the resources needed for students to test, explained, and figure things out. Technology that will allow students to explore interests for our state science fair, and to enrich our daily lessons. Equipment that would support lessons in robotics, electricity physics and biotechnology would be high on the list.
