Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I always felt like I had a calling for it. Ever since I was young, I knew teaching was something I wanted to do. As I got older, my love for kids continued and I knew I wanted to pursue a degree in education.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of the most memorable teaching experiences I have was when I was reading the my juniors narrative essay. A person truly doesn’t realize some of the struggles the kids have, and some of the topics that my students wanted to write about for me to read were truly heartbreaking, but it meant so much to me that I was someone that they felt safe and comfortable with to open up to.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the $25,000 dollars, I feel like I would do quite a bit with the money. First, I would use some of it to pay off my student loans, then I would put some of it in a savings accounts, and lastly I would use it purchase items for my classroom.
