I became a teacher to give back to the community that shaped me. Returning to the same school district where I was once a student feels like a full- circle moment. My school district gave me so much, and I want to use everything I have to help the next generation of students. I'm truly honored to serve the community that helped me grow and become who I am today. Being able to push the future into greatness means everything to me.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I will never forget, a student told me that the test we just took was the first one he'd passed since he started middle school. Hearing that was a powerful moment for me. It meant everything knowing that I had a part of his success. It wasn't just about the test, it was about building his confidence in knowing he can succeed. to know I made a difference in his journey and helped him stay on the right path was one of the most rewarding moments in my teaching career.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the 25,000 dollars, i'd give back to my school and community by providing essential supplies and necessities for students. Many of them struggle with the basics, and I want to make sure they have what the need to succeed, both in school and in life. I'd pour this money into our community because we need to stick together, especially in these tough times. I am dedicated in lifting my community up, and I want to help make that happen for those who need it most.
