Teaching brings me joy through the excitement of shared learning, the spark in students’ eyes when they succeed, and the bonds built.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to become a teacher because I believe in the power of education to inspire change and empower others. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful impact, foster growth, and help students realize their potential. It’s a chance to contribute to society, share my passion for learning, and shape future generations in a positive way.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my favorite moments as a first-grade teacher was when a student who struggled with writing proudly handed me a story they’d written on their own. It was short and filled with creative spelling, but their excitement was contagious. Seeing their confidence grow and their joy in learning reminded me why I love teaching.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I’d pay off any personal debt or loans to reduce stress and focus more on teaching. I’d also use some of it to enhance my classroom with better supplies or tools to support my students. The rest would go into savings for future needs or emergencies.
