Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of my passion for science and my desire to inspire curiosity in students. I'm love bringing the natural world to life through hands-on learning. I believe that exploring science creates a deeper and very important understanding of the world around us. Teaching allows me to share my enthusiasm and help students discover the wonders of the world.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was taking my students on their first hike for a field trip. Many had never been on a hike, let alone see something like a deer in the wild. As we explored, they not only observed nature first hand but also experienced the peace it brings. They were excited to spot natural structures they had studied. It was a moment of connection, both with nature and their peers, that reinforced the powers of hands-on learning and the beauty of being outdoors.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would first pay off student loans and debt, easing my financial stress and setting myself up for a more secure future. Once that's taken care of, I would start saving for my first home. Hopefully if I can achieve these goals it will not only provide me with peace of mind but also create a stable foundation for the next chapter of my life, allowing me to focus on long-term financial growth and work on my other passions.
