I became a teacher because I believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. Every student has unique potential, and I’m here to help them discover it. I became a teacher to be someone my students can constantly depend on. My goal is not just to teach lessons, but to guide them through life’s challenges, offer unwavering support, and be their advocate. I want my classroom to be a safe, encouraging place where they always know they’re not alone.

I had a student who often struggled and used a lot of negative self-talk. We had been working on a new unit, and I made sure to check in with them regularly. When it came time for the test, I could see the doubt in their eyes. But when I shared their results, they were shocked and excited. For the first time, they saw their own potential and started to believe in themselves. Watching that shift in confidence was one of the most rewarding moments.

If I had $25,000, I would contribute a portion to my school to support students in need. I’d also donate to School on Wheels, which helps homeless students with emotional and academic support. I’d give to Newton’s Dollars for Scholars to help provide scholarships for higher education. The remaining funds would go towards financing my Master’s in School Counseling, allowing me to better support students’ emotional and academic growth.
