I became a teacher when my husband abandoned me and our three month old son. I needed a way to take care of him on my own. So I went back to school, finished my degree and started teaching. I have remained a teacher because I truly feel like I make a difference in lives of teens and they give me the large family I never got to have.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience has come from assisting our cheer team this year. I've enjoyed teaching the girls how to problem solve and resolve conflicts in a healthy way. Gossip destroys relationships and makes problems even bigger than they need to be. Seeing them mature and become young ladies has been so rewarding.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000 I would use it for a down payment on a home for my son and me.
