Being a kid who grew up in a bad home, school was my safe place. I had a high school teacher Mrs.Bernard who pulled me aside one day and said " You may have a bad situation at home but that make you that situation unless you let it. I believe in you and you're going to do great things. Changed my whole life. I want to be that teacher one day.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceBeing asked by a student who I thought hated me to make sure I found him after the graduation ceremony ended so he can get a picture with me. After the ceremony I did indeed find him. We took several pictures. Told him I was proud of him. He reaches over and hugs me tight and told me thanks you never gave up on me even when I tried to make you. My heart melted and I was in tears. BEST MEMORY EVER!!!!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of it to pay some debts, some on my classroom, and take my family on a weekend get away
