I love teaching because my students know I love them. And because they know that; they learn better. Seeing their growth makes me proud!

I became a teacher because teaching children is one of the greatest gifts one can give. I also know that God has called me to this career so that I can positively impact the lives of the children that enter my classroom. Teaching isn't just about writing lessons and delivering them. Teaching is about forming bonds with students and getting to know each of them and a little about their lives so they can be supported in every way possible.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne year I was gifted a group of students deemed, "the bad kids." They knew it and they believed it. I heard all the negative things that everyone had to say about them but I didn't listen. Around October, I had them write about someone they admired. I was surprised to learn that so many of them admired me. They thanked me for not playing favorites & for showing them that I cared about them because no one ever had. The way students are treated and made to feel is what they remember.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would pay off my debt and give some to family for their debt. If there is any left after that- I will buy lunch for my class!.
