Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I love being around kids and helping them learn new things. It's an added bonus to hear all the funny things that they say and do. I love to see the light bulb go off in a student's head when they finally "get" what I am trying to teach them.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience would be when I moved both schools and districts. I was so nervous as I had only ever taught at one school in one district. I absolutely loved not only the kids, but the staff as well. Everyone was so welcoming and good at making sure I was included. The kids were great! They were much lower academically than what I was used to, but as a teacher that was almost a blessing, as I was able to show a lot of growth in student learning.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use some of the $25,000 to spend on myself and do something enjoyable and relaxing. The rest of the money would go toward paying off bills.
