I believe that every student can achieve great things. They just need proper direction. I love being their inspiration, mentor & teacher.
Thank you for supporting Tanjeen Azad in this year's competition. Your donations and participation will benefit The Planetary Society in their mission to advance space exploration, inspire discovery, and empower the next generation of innovators.
I became a teacher to spread the love of science teaching and learning. My hands-on approach to teaching science makes science fun for all my students. I believe the best way to teach is through experiential learning. I observed that this approach helps my special needs students and English language learners greatly!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is when I have guided my students to build solar power mini racers cars when teaching about renewable energy. The joy in their eyes when their self made racer cars were running under the sun is priceless! This memorable experience is why I continue to teacher in underserved communities, at a title I NYC public school.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would do more projects with 100+ students as I believe they are the future generation of scientists, doctors and engineers. I will have money to buy more hands-on activity material and make science learning exciting for all my students. I will be able to buy microscopes and computers for the research projects my students will conduct. Thank you so much for your consideration!
