I love helping kids reach a reading goal and have that feeling of pride that comes with hard work and perseverance. Reading is such an important element of education and life! I want my students to use their reading ability to build a beautiful life.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA former student wrote me a letter his senior year to tell me he had earned a score of 32 on the reading portion of his SAT college entrance exam. I was so proud of him and touched that he thought of me and sent a thank you note for my help.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have recently moved to an area where I can be around my sweet grandkids on a daily basis. I want to be able to have a very small farm like atmosphere and teach them about the simple and fun things that lifestyle holds. This would greatly help with those expenses. I would also offer it as a field trip to my teacher friends at the school where I teach.
