Tell us why you became a teacher

After working in the juvenile court system for 12 years, I wanted to see what would it be like to reach students before they got to the point of coming into the juvenile court system. My focus was to reach them, even just one, and change the mindset of one student, by showing them the beauty of learning; the beauty of education; the beauty of somebody giving a damn about their future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I will always remember when a student told me that it was too bad he didn’t meet me two years ago because it’s too late for him now. I had never been left so speechless before in all of my career working with children. I mean really, what do you say after that? He went on to say, many of our paths, have already been chosen.. We’re too far gone.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Because I have a business called Reform Life, I would incorporate a program for our youth and it will stand for responsibility, awareness, and prevention. All meats will be hosted by you my team would be you and they would get paid to be presenters to be mentors. Have a different positions hosted
