I became a teacher to make the difference in the life of a child. I teach at a small school so we get to know our students and families well. I believe teaching involves not just the student but being a support for the family as well.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have taught a Chinese exchange student for the past two years. When he arrived he knew very little English. American history was hard for him. We have worked closely together these past two years and he is a different child. His English has greatly improved and he is doing so well in all of his subjects.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would buy laptops for my school. Currently we do not have this technology available to our students.
