Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe in the power of knowledge to change lives. It’s not just about teaching facts, but about inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and helping students see their own potential. Watching those “aha” moments when a student realizes they’re capable of more is incredibly fulfilling. Teaching allows me to be part of something bigger—helping others grow, discover their strengths, and become the best versions of themselves. That’s why I teach.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Of course! Here’s a revised version with that first part kept: My most memorable teaching experiences often happen in quiet, everyday moments. It’s when a student comes to me with a problem or shares something personal they’re struggling with. I strive to create a space where they feel valued and supported. Seeing their growth, not just as learners, but as individuals—helping them find their strength, their voice, and become the best version of themselves—truly makes teaching so rewarding.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d definitely spend some of the money doing something fun with my students—they’re the reason I do what I do. The rest would go toward paying off student loans and debt, which would be life-changing. Having the chance to reduce that stress would truly make a huge difference, allowing me to focus even more on my students and the work I love. Thank you for this opportunity.. this is so amazing.
