Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because i loved playing school and going to school as a kid. As a teen, I saw a need for teachers that could be trusted adults for all student especially those in need. I had many inspirational teachers that helped me a long the way and made me the teacher I am.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

It is impossible to pin pint one specific memory through your my 21 years of teaching. There are moments, students, and events that stand out in my memory when something triggers that particular emotion or feeling. My career has been memorable and I am most proud of my students and my professional life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The best way to utilize it would likely be to invest in enriching my classroom environment with high-quality learning materials, technology upgrades, and professional development opportunities that directly benefit students, while also considering personal needs like reducing existing debt or saving for future goals.
