Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher and coach because I grew up watching my dad inspire others as a coach. He taught me the value of hard work, building meaningful relationships, and the power of believing in others. Seeing the impact he had on his players made me want to create that same positive influence. Teaching allows me to guide students through challenges, help them grow in confidence, and celebrate their successes. It’s my way of continuing his legacy and making a difference in the lives of others

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable teaching experience I’ve had was also the hardest. I lost a student to suicide, and it completely shook our class. But what stood out to me was how his classmates rallied together. They made sure everyone, including me, was okay. They showed up for each other in ways I’ll never forget, creating this incredible sense of support and love. It reminded me why I do what I do—to be there for my students, not just in their wins, but in their hardest moments too.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I’d use it to buy a new car because mine is barely holding on and constantly giving me trouble. A reliable car would make my daily life so much easier, especially with all the driving I do for work and coaching. I’d also finally take my mom to Ireland—a trip she’s always dreamed of. She’s done so much for me, and it would mean the world to give her that experience. This money would help me invest in something practical and create memories that last a lifetime.
