Tell us why you became a teacher

I grew up in a very big family and I was an aunt by the time I was 7. I have been around kids my whole life and I love to see them “get it”. Whether it be academically or life lessons!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had a 7th grade teacher who made reading and writing so much FUN!! And for 7th grade that took a lot! She read to us everyday and made us journal everyday. She also read everything we wrote and REALLY listened to us!! She was amazing and why I became a teacher.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Pay off a lot of debt. Obviously being a teacher does not pay monetarily, but the rewards are worth it. I also, if there were no guilt attached, would put in a swimming pool to enjoy! Nothing big but enough. I may even take my students on an adventure!
