I became a teacher because it was a calling on my life; a passion to make the world a better place through the education of children. I wake up each day in hopes to touch at least one life and give a child the excitement of learning and wanting to come to school to learn. I continue to educated myself so that I can be the best version of an educator, to where a student will some day say "Ms. Dolberry was the best teacher I ever had", she made learning fun".

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was when a student I taught tells me "Ms. Dolberry I love you because you make learning fun" and then to hear parents brag about how I made a difference in her child's life because of my caring spirit, dedication to student success, never giving up on a child, and just not allowing any of my students to say "I Can't".

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000 I would first give 10% to my church. Next, give back to students to help foster a love for STEM and reading. I would start a STEM club to give students access to STEM education. I would purchase books that are of interest to students and start a book club where students can read, discuss, and participate in hands-on activities and community service projects where they can encourage others to love reading.
