Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I am passionate about inspiring the next generation, fostering a love for learning, and making a positive impact on young minds. The classroom is a place where I can share knowledge, encourage creativity, & help students discover their unique talents. Teaching allows me to connect with students, challenge them to think critically, & support their growth both academically and personally.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most unforgettable teaching experiences occurs when a student sees that I am a teacher who truly believes in them and will never give up. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their struggle transform into understanding, especially when they look up at me with that spark of realization and simply say, “Thank you!” Equally touching is the moment a student shares that they used to dislike school until they discovered my class. Moments like these affirm the impact of our work!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would prioritize paying off a portion of my student loans to alleviate some financial stress and start building a brighter financial future. After that, I'd tackle some outstanding bills to gain more financial freedom. Once those essentials are taken care of, I would allocate some funds for travel, exploring new places & cultures that inspire me, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Balancing financial responsibility with the joy of travel would make for a fulfilling use of the money
