I remember playing "teacher" when I was in 2nd grade. I liked being around children and helping them. My brother, Tate is 11 years younger than me and I LOVED teaching him things and support his learning. In elementary and middle school, I babysat, visited classes for read a louds, volunteered at Camp Happy Days and held "class" for neighborhood kids. I also realized that having the summers would be ideal when I had my own children.

In a class chat about staying hydrated, I demonstrated with my fist (the brain) and my other hand as part of the skull with a gap to show where the fluid would be. They got it! I called on a student who shared that when "your pee is crystal" you are hydrated and if it's yellow, you are dehydrated. I explained that this was true and moved on. I emailed the parents about the chat. I had 1 mommy tell me that when her son got in the car he said "if his penis was yellow he might be dehydrated."

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put money towards my children's college debt and maybe a down payment on a house. My 2006 Suburban is also on its last leg:/ Our school is looking into 4 aquariums that would be housed throughout the building to enhance our coastal environment program. I'd like to help with that initiative. My bonus son and soon to be daughter in law just got engaged and I would like to do something for them. A little party for friends, family and parents of the children who have supported me.
