Teaching is my second career. After having my own children I volunteered in their classrooms and fell in love with helping and guiding those children not only academically but morally and socially! So here I am doing what I love!!!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment is when a student who was very shy and nervous all year in class came back the following year to say hello. Her mother says to me, “you know she started wearing her hair in twist because you made her feel confident about being herself”! That let me know that my role is bigger than just academics!
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly, I would catch up on bills. Put some in savings so I don’t feel like I’m living paycheck to paycheck. I would also try to start my educational consulting I’ve been dreaming about!!!
