I love teaching because it’s so rewarding being able to see the growth a student can make in just one year but also learning along with them

I became a Special Ed teacher to try and make a difference in the world. I want to be the advocate for students who are unable to do so for themselves. I enjoy waking up everyday and getting a chance to help someone have a lightbulb moment and watch something click for that student.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience has been when I taught in a program for students who self harm and have suicidal ideation. I knew I was one particular students safe place and the reason she showed up to school. Her home life was horrible and I was proud to teach her how to graduate, become independent, and move on to a better life than what was given to her.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000 I would pay off some of my student debt and take my family on the best vacation they’ve ever had.
