Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because school was always hard for me and I had a teacher in 3rd grade Mrs. Kitzmiller who poured into me and believed in me. She went above and beyond to ensure that I knew my worth and abilities. She made learning fun and engaging for each of her students and I aspire to be a teacher like her.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when my students grasp a new concept that had previously been challenging and discouraging to them. We make sure to celebrate these little wins within our classroom and share with their parent/guardian so they know just how amazing and capable they are!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I was given $25,000 I would invest it in my classroom with additional learning tools and technology that would aid them in their success. I work in a low income district and so many of my students go without and I would love to provide them with additional resources that I cannot afford currently.
