I love seeing the lightbulbs go off in students’ heads when they finally get their aha moment, and being someone my students can rely on.

I became a teacher because I want to be that one trusted adult students can turn to when they have no one they can rely on. I love seeing my students as they finally have their aha moment, and all my students become “my kids”, and I love getting to know them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience would have to be during 2020 when we were virtual. So many students were not getting their work turned in, so I made them a deal that if 80% of my classes had no missing work, they could dye my hair any color they wanted. They did it, and I went to hot pink hair the rest of the year.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I got the $25,000 I would update my classroom library, and also use some for flexible seating in my classroom. I would also use the money towards some medical bills that I have.
