I had interest in serving and working with youth since high school. I tried many kinds of second part time jobs but always returned to teaching. Middle school for 31 years and high school these 4 years. I Mentor for TSIC , I am a squadron commander for CAP and I help with Robotics and teach for Boys and Girls Club! All in a days work. I have the only Inschool program of CAP in PBSC West Palm Beach and it’s going strong 3years in a row. Helping students afterschool and on Saturdays.

A as a mother and teacher having my son coach with me has been the most recent memorable memories. Sharing the teaching load and watching students accept him and grow with his teachings about Civil Air Patrol has been a growing experience for the cadets. Serving as mentor to teachers and students. I am a mentor to 7 young ladies in Take Stock in Children. I teach afterschool with the Pahokee Teen Center. We are constantly doing , creating and working with students, parents, and the community.

Help to build my little retirement home in PR for all the kids to come gather around with me when I retire. When you live as a teacher, CAP squadron commander and TSIC mentor time is limited but the hours put in are worth it. Though the check does not grow. We will stretch it to the maximum. I have put a lot into the school program from my pocket because it is a rural school and I love what we are doing for our cadets. I am now in need of preparing something for myself while I still can.
