I became a teacher because I believe in the power of education to shape lives. From a young age, I was drawn to helping others learn, and as I grew older, I realized that teaching was more than just a profession—it was a calling. I have had the opportunity to inspire curiosity, foster a love for learning, and make a lasting impact on students’ lives for 23 years. This is what motivated me to become a teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There was a student in my class who struggled with confidence and often hesitated to participate. One day, we were working on a group project, and I saw a spark in his eyes as he quietly shared an idea with a classmate. Seeing that student transform from hesitant to empowered was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and it continues to inspire me every day.

With $25,000, I would split the funds between professional development as an educator and personal use in a way that benefits my career and personal life.
