I became a teacher to change lives. I want to make children feel so loved, even if they don’t feel that at home. I am passionate about inclusion for kids with disabilities and I want to be an advocate for my kids!

I had a student who was working on being able to have conversations with other people. She had a hard time knowing what to say or how to start or end a conversation. I practiced + role-played with her every day, and she began to blossom. Adults around the building started asking me what I was doing because she was beginning to talk to them in the hallway + make eye contact + she just seemed really happy. It was the best feeling to be able to know that I made a tangible difference in her life.

I would make some improvements at my school (playground). I would use the other part for a down payment on a home.
