I became an educator because of my special needs sister Emma. She was always a joy to be around. I spent most of my teenage years as her care taker and my passion grew.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is when my students dissected frogs and truly loved coming to my class everyday after. They weren’t used to getting to do hands on activities. Seeing that light bulb go off is worth it every time.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would set my three girls up with starting college funds. Being a teacher is very rewarding but the pay is low. I want them to have all the opportunities in the world.
