Tell us why you became a teacher

I know many say, they want to make a difference but I truly wanted to put others needs before my own. I want to be a person of service, of character, of dedication and a person of selflessness.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience would be when one of my students was having a tantrum and thrusted his head right into my face and broke my nose. He couldn’t express himself with words and back then I was inexperienced to read and understand the situation as well as the nonverbal cues to sense the immediate danger. It was a painful and costly lesson for me. I have a much better understanding and a deeper insight into my students.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would take my son who is 15 years old and daughter who is 18 years old, on a trip of a lifetime to Japan. They are both good students, compassionate young adults and currently on the right path towards becoming a contributing member of society that will have a positive impact on this world. I couldn’t be a prouder Mom and I would love to reward all their hard work, good choices and unwavering effort and energy.
