Teaching science and musical theater is a lifelong passion of mine! Finding students' joy for coming to school is the most important part!

I became a teacher after I watched my mother work in a public school for a majority of her life. After her passing, I dedicated my own schooling to becoming a teacher in order to inspire, motivate, and share my passion for learning. Nothing beats seeing a child finally understand a concept and reach their full potential.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI loved directing my school's first ever musical theater production of Aladdin Jr. Most of my students have never even performed, let alone a full musical production. Teaching at a title 1 school means a lot of them have never even been to a theater to watch a musical play. Starting from scratch, the students worked diligently to bring the show to life. Watching the students get on a professional stage in front of 600 people to sing, dance and act with such pride truly brought tears to my eyes.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would invest in the school's musical/drama future, improve my classroom environment with robotics, and pay off some student loan debt!
