Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teachers for many reasons, but I was mostly driven by a passion for learning and a desire to make a positive impact on others. I find joy in helping students discover their potential and achieve their goals. I am motivated and committed to shaping the future and to foster a love of knowledge in younger generations. It gives me a sense of purpose, as it allows me to contribute meaningfully to communities and inspire lifelong growth.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching moments was when I worked with a student who struggled with phonics and sounds. After weeks of frustration, I decided to approach it differently, using motions for sounds. Suddenly, his face lit up, and he exclaimed, “Oh, I got it this helps me remember!” Seeing his newfound confidence and pride in what he learned on his own reminded me why I love teaching—those moments when understanding clicks and opens up a world of possibilities for a student.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As much as I’d love to say I would pay off my student loans for my education, I would probably pay a bit of that and a few other bills. Plus buy what I need for a much needed vacation.
