I became a teacher because I was driven by a childhood dream to inspire & educate. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand that some teachers underestimated the potential of low-income students, assuming we weren't as capable as our more affluent peers. I vowed to become the kind of teacher I wished I'd had growing up-one who sees the brilliance in every student. 10 yrs later, I'm living my dream, empowering young minds to soar.

My most impactful teaching moment was when a child in my classroom fell ill. I asked if he'd like to rest in the cozy area, and he nodded eagerly, then I draped my coat over him. A student gazed up at me and said, “I wish I could get sick so you could care for me, Miss Brown, you are a teacher and nurse, I love you!”

My BIGGEST goal is to start my own child care center. Yes I enjoy being a teacher to the grade I teach however opening up a center I’ll get to touch more children hearts from ages 6weeks-12 years old. I always worked with children, working with children is all I know. Some days are harder than others but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I love what I do. They are more than children in my classroom, they are my babies who I hold dear to my heart 💜
