Tell us why you became a teacher

"I became a teacher because I believe in the power of education to change lives. Growing up, I had teachers who inspired me, who saw potential in me before I saw it in myself. I wanted to be that person for others—to spark curiosity, to encourage dreams, and to help students discover their strengths. Teaching is my way of giving back, of making a difference, one student at a time. Every smile, every 'aha' moment, every success story reminds me why I chose this path.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching moments was with a student who struggled with confidence in reading. She often hesitated, fearing mistakes. One day, during a read-aloud session, she bravely volunteered. She stumbled at first but kept going. When she finished, the class erupted in applause. The pride on her face was unforgettable. From that day on, she read with newfound confidence. That moment reminded me that teaching isn’t just about lessons—it’s about empowering students to believe in them.
