Tell us why you became a teacher

I knew after I had spent much of my life as a police officer that I would have a better chance of helping our community by getting involved with people at a younger age in hopes they do not go down the wrong path. I loved the work I did as a police officer, but the audience I reach as an educator is 10 folds and much more positive! Usually, Lol!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable will always be when a former student sends me a note or email, sharing with me how it was my teaching style or what they learned in my class was what inspired them to move into a career in Law enforcement or law. I have taught criminal justice and now prelaw and I must say nothing is more rewarding then for a student to move with passion into a field I know needs good people and amazing hearts. Then I know I did my part in helping keep the Rule of Law respected and understood.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would purchase a new vehicle and pay off some debt. Life sure has gotten expensive and teacher salaries are not one to be known for riches! Lol :)
