I became a teacher to be able to make a difference, to help others and to be able to give back to the community. I want to be able to help parents understand and be able to work with their children with specials needs.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have so many memorable experiences working with special needs students from the first time a child met an IEP goal to the first time a child said a word or the first time a student with autism indicated her nose hurt when she was sick. Teaching a student to communicate is the most memorable thing!
What would you do with the $25,000?I am not sure what I would do with all of it but for sure I would give my class a pizza party since they talk about pizza so much! We also have a few centers that need updates, like our kitchen center. Since Pre-K students learn through play I want to have the best centers for them to play and learn.
