From as early as I can remember, I have loved to learn. The excitement of discovering something new, of understanding a concept for the first time, has always been a source of joy for me. That feeling never faded as I grew older, and I soon realized that the only thing better than learning myself was sharing that excitement with others. Becoming a teacher was a natural choice because it allowed me to not only continue learning every day but to inspire that same passion in my students.

I can confidently say that there is no single favorite memory—because my journey has been made up of hundreds of students who have shaped and molded me into the teacher I am today. Every student who has walked through my classroom doors has left an imprint, teaching me just as much as I have taught them. The love and support from families have also played a vital role, pushing me to break through difficult times and persevere through challenges, both in the classroom and in my personal life.

If I were given $25,000, I would use it to support my family’s financial future while also creating meaningful experiences together. First, I would pay off any family debt. Next, I would set aside money for my children’s future opportunities, such as college or any passions they wish to pursue. Education and personal growth are incredibly important to me. Last, Disney World and the beach. As someone who was born in Hawaii but has not been back since, returning would be an incredibly special!
