Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to make a difference each and every single day! To help my students know they are loved, cared about and that the sky is the limit to their success they just have to believe!! I want my students to know the importance of education and that each one of them is capable of greatness if they work hard!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was asking my students to bring in scarves, mittens and hats and to make encouraging notes for the homeless and then we went as a class downtown and hung the hats, gloves and scarves on the statues, passed out sandwiches to the homeless and made a difference as a class! It is something they will never forget!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would purchase iPads for my students so that they had technology in our classroom and then we would use the remainder to take a short term mission trip to serve and help other children in a school less fortunate.
